Q: Why use marble as vanity top?

Q: Why my countertop color is not consistency?
A: Granites are quarried in large blocks that are cut into slabs. These slabs are then fabricated into your countertops. Because each block is different and each slab is different. So your countertop is unique.

Q: How Can I select a countertop?
A:Select your color first, then select your edge profile.There are many edge treatments to choose, but general a rounded or beveled edge is more resistant to chipping than a squared edge.More complicated edge treatment are more expensive.

Q:Which shall I choose,marble and granite or synthetics?
A:Marble and granite are far more valuable than synthetics.Any man-made surface cannot be matched the depth and character of natural stone.It does not depreciate with time and adds value to your home.

Q:Do marble and granite require special care?
A: They are easy to maintain. Warm water, mild dishwashing liquid and a soft cloth clean up most of spills on both surface.
Granite is a worry free surface.Durable, stain-resistance.But marble has a softer, less stain-resistant surface It is especially susceptible to damage from citric acids, alcohols and oils. With proper care, its beauty will last for generation.

Q: How can I take out stains?
A: Common stains as following:
1) Oil-based: Using soft liquid cleanser with household detergent or acetone or ammonia.
2) Organic: Outdoors, normal sun and rain action will generally bleach out the stains. Indoors, clean with 12% hydrogen peroxide and a few drops of ammonia.
3) Metal: Metal stains must be removed with poultice.
4) Ink: Using hydrogen peroxide for light color and acetone for dark stones.
5) Paint:Using razor blade for small amounts. Heavy paint shall be removed with a commercial heavy liquid paint stripper. but it can etch the surface of the stone. Repolishing may be necessary.

Q: How can I take out scratches?
A: Light scratches may use dry 0000 steel wool. Deeper ones should be repaired and repolished by a professional.

Q:Why my countertop surface appears some white power after installation?
A:It is caused by water carrying mineral salts from below the surface of the stone rising through the stone and evaporating. When the water evaporates, it leaves the powdery substance. Using dust mop or vacuum. You may have to do several time after it dries out.
